This month was shaped by the next ESA BIC CH jury session, which took place on March 20th in the Impact Hub Viadukt in Zurich. It was yet again an interesting session with high quality presentations, in the course of which the jury agreed on selecting 5 new start-ups to join the program. More about these in detail in our May newsletter. Other than that the team attended the ESA BIC / Broker Meeting from March 6th to March 7th in Prague and had an interesting and enjoyable time catching up with the fellow "BIC-ers" from all over Europe. ESA BIC CH was present with a booth at the 7th Bodensee Aerospace Meeting in Zurich on March 22nd. Our start-up IRsweep had a booth as well and some valuable contacts have been established. We were also excited about the moon rover (Audi Lunar Quattro) that was the highlight exhibit and which was impressively presented by the team of the PT Scientists from Berlin.
Wintery greetings from the ESA BIC CH office in Zurich! Bildergebnis für symbol schneeflocke This month we had a nice team outing in Bern (see picture above), producing (very Swiss indeed) our own chocolates! Then there was a B2B Sales Workshop with Ken Moore, that had been initiated by one of our start-ups and was well attended. Another highlight was the Community Event on the topic of Horizon 2020 and how to successfully submit a proposal.
It was a great year for ESA BIC CH, full of excellent new start-ups applying, our already existing start-ups developing very well, delightful partnerships and collaborations and interesting events. We would like to thank everyone who supported us and was interested in following our program and look forward to even better developments in the coming year!
The ESA BIC Switzerland highlight in November was the next selection round, in the course of which 5 new start-ups were selected to join the program. And of course the ESA BIC CH 1 year anniversary.
The main happening in October was the first ESA BIC Switzerland Demo Day, that took place on October 6 at the new, innovative and very well suited location "Kraftwerk". Read about this great event and the portrait of ESA BIC CH start-up Diramics.
